I recently took a trip to the Warehouse Project in Manchester to see a mister PVD, While i was there i picked up a flyer which had some dates and lineups for this years Judgement Sundays at Eden.

Defected this year a partying hard on Saturdays in Pacha between the 30th May (the day before the space opening) and September 26th 2009. Defected are becoming part of the old firm in Ibiza, consistently throwing parties people want to go to. 2009 will see six residents playing over the summer including Junior Jack and Kid Crème, The Shapeshifters, ATFC, Copyright, David Penn and Simon Dunmore.

In 2009 Space will celebrate its 20th anniversary, Space is well known for having some of the best parties of the year in the form of its opening and closing parties, People will book their holidays to Ibiza so that they make sure they are there for the opening and those that can will also make sure they are at the closing party as well. Some people will say that the space opening and closing parties are the only parties worth going to (i strongly disagree with this!!!!).

On the 14th August 2009 space will be adding another date to the unmissable calendar that space provides. Tickets are already available for this party priced at €45 but if any party in Ibiza will sell out this year it will be this one!!

Space have promised lots of surprises for this party and im sure the lineup will be amazing. There have been many many Dj’s play at Space from its birth and this party is set to be a celebration of that. They have promised the cream of today’s crop as well as the names that have made Space the club that it is over the last 20 years.

Personally i would love to go to this party myself as it will be very special, Id be lying if i said i wasn’t gutted i could go. There is no lineup for this night as of yet but as soon as it gets released then i will post it on this site.

Mauro Picotto has in the past been the Dj i worship, For the last 4 years he has been taking over Privilege on wednesday with Meganite. If you like your music a little harder with a Techno edge then you will love Meganite, If you dont fancy the club then check out his Pre Party, they are usually energy packed and Picotto is a really nice guy, if you see him wandering around he is always happy to say hi! He has been releasing Meganite CD’s and his night in Privilege has been getting bigger and bigger every year. If you do like your music a little harder then this is one of the only nights you mifgt get your fix and its deffinately a night i like to visit.

The privileg has the next party as the 24th June 2009 and Mistress Barbara has been confirmed for the 1st July. this makes Meganites a wednesday in Ibiza which is the night it has always had. Pre parties could be in Kanya and Iticia in San Antonio with the Kanya party more likely to be starting in the afternoons.

Its seems that Tiesto will be gracing Privilege again in 2009 starting in June and running through till September. Last year Tiesto rolled into town with his ‘In Concert’ production and destroyed the place by all accounts. This year it seems he has seen how many people he can pack in so he is pack for more and this time it seems that it is for the whole season!

I have read this news over at Ibiza Spotlight and they have reported that the closing party will be on September 21st. The opening party does not yet have a concrete opening date. I have been over and checked out the Privilege website and they have their next event on a Monday down as 08-06-2009 but the article under the headline talks about Tiesto in 2008 so im not to sure when it will be opening.

Im a little slow with this one but so are Ibiza Rocks at filling in the blanks! (no offence meant!) ibiza Rocks have released some of the headliners this summer and im sure there is something for anyone. Ibiza Rocks started a few years ago now and it was an instant hit. It started off in Bar M but the fun police put a stop to that, It has also been traveling around the island in secret locations bussing people to and from the venue.

I don’t often talk about CD’s on here because there are always loads of CD’s out, However i do have a soft spot for Paul Taylor who runs the Retro night, Last year he was also the Dj at Pacha Classics if i remember rightly on a Sunday, Well i new about this a while ago but Pacha have released a new CD Pacha classics. You could look at it as your average ‘classics’ CD but its not full of ‘Trance Classics’ which 99% of classic CD’s are. Ive not got a copy…. Yet! but i will be purchasing a copy and i think it could be worth a listen to anyone who wants to hear a few Ibiza classics without the trance element

Yesterday Mixmag published a post about DC10 moving to BCM in Magaluf!! It has spread to a couple of other websites (not the main ones) and ive had a couple of people email me about this. If you havent seen the article then it is below.

After years of raids and disputes with the Ibizan authorities, and last year’s enforced six week closure, the owners and promoters of DC10 and CircoLoco have announced that they will be relocating the club to another Balearic Island entirely.

The first CircoLoco of 2009 will take place in Mallorcan superclub BCM, while the promoters search for another venue on the island with what they call ‘the DC10 vibe.’

“We hope to return to Ibiza one day”, said Circo Loco’s Olaf Pirlo, “but for now [the authorities] make it impossible. Magaluf is now the true home of the underground”.

Id just like to remind people that yesterday was April Fools Day! The story is no longer on the mixmag site as it was completely fabricated! DC10 is not moving to Mallorca!

Clubland will be taking over Es Paradis every Tuesday of 2009 between June 9th which is the opening party and 9th September which is the closing party. Clubland is generally seen as a cheesy night to most people me included, However the Clubland Album series is one of the biggest selling album compilation series ever only being beaten by the ‘Now That’s What I Call Music’ album collection so there must be a lot of demand for their music and the crowds that visit Es Paradis in 2008 backed that up.

This month Paul Oakenfold has released a new podcast. The podcast is called ‘Perfecto Podcast featuring Paul Oakenfold’ and is weekly podcast.

Paul Oakenfold had a perfecto night in Pacha a few years ago and generally plays around radio 1 weekend. Over the last few years he has not really blown many people away with his sets, however if you remember Paul Oakenfold from the end of the  90’s and up to 2001 then you will know he is more than capable of giving people the best night of their lifes.
