The Guys from the Zoo Project are determined to take over the world and they are starting with Ibiza! As we know they have the Zoo project on a Saturday and channel Zoo on a Wednesday, there is an Ark thrown in for good measure along the way. Everything they have done has been positive and a great success.

Held at Privilege every Saturday starting from the 26th June, they want you to ‘Reclaim Your Mind’ with the ‘Saturday Night Project’.

Is it a good idea to consume our culture, read magazines and watch TV?

Saturday the 12th of June sees the return of the Zoo Project Boat parties. I’ve already written a bit about them recently so ill just leave you with the press release.

Set in the hills of Benimussa, in the old abandoned Zoo (called Gala Night) is one of the last open-air venues left in Ibiza. The Zoo Project opened its doors in 2007, since then, they have been building on what was instantly a massive success, Held in ‘The Abandoned Zoo’ (Gala Night) in the hills above San Antonio they host crazy parties! Jungle fancy dress is the norm, last year they also did Noah’s ark boat parties which went down a storm.

This year they will be hosting the Gala Nights opening party on the 29th as well as the Zoo project opening on the 19th June. Their other night Channel Zoo will be running on Wednesdays from the 30th June.

Once again offering the finest underground house and techno from the most respected and revered records labels in the world at Channel Zoo (Wednesdays) alongside our super talented group of resident artists at The Zoo Project (Saturdays). You will not find an experience like it anywhere in the world.

I know a lot of people come on here looking for information about the Zoo Project and i can tell you that the Zoo project will open its doors on May 30th 2009 for its opening party at Gala Nights in San Antonio. The info has been found on a couple of DJ Myspace pages and it was brought to light on the Spotlight forum as does a lot of information.

May 30th is the day before the Space opening party at the very start of the season. This means that The Zoo Project will be in for one long summer which im sure will please a lot of people. The date of this opening party is well planned to me. Its the end of the International Music Conference which is held in Ibiza and its the day before the Space opening party which means there will be plenty of fresh faces around ready to kick of the summer in style.

I will endevour to find out more but for the mean time we have a lineup off:

The Zoo project will be hosting its grand opening at Galanight this Saturday 21st June. The opening party will feature Jamie Jones which they are billing as the most exciting techno DJ of 2008 off the back of his sets at DC10. Also playing along side will be Jonathan Tena who also plays La Comunidad and is responsible for Ibiza’s underground movement.

They both have releases on cocoon’s record label and they will be playing the Zoo Project back to back for four hours

The Zoo Project will have its opening party on 7th June 2008. The event starts of with a boat party were the boat sets off from San Antonio harbor and sales to Es Vedra. There is space for 600 people on 3 boats for the boat trip (they reckon 1 boat is full already), once you have done with that you get bussed to The Zoo Project in San Antonio. The venue for the event is Gala Night. It is a large restaurant that once used to have animals during the summer to attract more customers, because of this and people just getting it wrong (including me till i was corrected) it is seen by people visiting the island to be an old Zoo, the truth is it is a large restaurant. Either way im sure you will have a really good time if you pay it a visit.

I don’t have any details for a lineup yet but as soon as i do i will list them here.
