Toolroom Records will soon be releasing their Ibiza album for the summer, I have recently really started to love the Toolroom album after having the Umek album in my car for a while.

Check out the album preview below, listening to some Toolroom albums reminds me of being at Ushuaia and Space in Ibiza which is never a bad thing!

Northern Lights @ Space 2011

Posted by Gary on Monday 11 April 2011

For those that dont know, Northern Lights is a Trance night Run by Gareth Emery. Think Above & Beyond and the Gabriel & Dresen.

In the UK his nights are extremely popular, especially in Manchester were his last gig (the northern lights 2 album launch) sold out 5 weeks in advance. His style of Trance is very popular which is why for this summer he has been signed up to play Armin Van Burren’s night at Space.

Gareth Emery will be doing two Northern Lights concerts this year at Space in Ibiza, the first one will be on the 17th June and the lineup will be:

Gareth emery
Blake jarrell
Ashley wallbridge
Jerome isma-ae
Edx

The second concert will be on July 27th with the lineup still to be announced.

The Missing Dj’s of 2011

Posted by Gary on Sunday 20 March 2011

Ok, I know, it’s early to jump the gun, however the release of the Cream line-up left a couple of questions being asked. 1st, where is Deadmau5? Second, where is Eric Prydz?

Over the last couple of years Eric Prydz has played a big role in the Cream line-ups, playing  mainly in the main room, it was a little surprising he is playing no role in this years line-up, especially considering he has his own arena this year at Creamfields.

The second missing Dj is Deadmau5, again, he held a residency last year on the terrace of Amnesia which was extremely successful, hosting the terrace on a Cream night is an extremely big deal, especially when you can pull in as many people as Deadmau5.

So why would this be? Well, they could just be having the summer off…. NOT! Ibiza is the proving ground for so many Dj’s, the only Dj’s that don’t play in Ibiza are those  who aren’t good enough and those who have earned their stripes and done their time in Ibiza.

We Love @ Space 2011

Posted by Gary on Monday 7 March 2011

We love can probably be viewed as Space’s flagship event. When the clubs were allowed to open during the day, We Love was responsible for the Sundays at Space parties that became known for being open for 22 hours without closing.

In 2011, the clubs wont be open for that long but the party is still most definitely there! We Love is still one of the most popular parties on the Island and for a lot of people, still the only place to go on a Sunday. You can expect to see a range of Dj’s ranging in styles from Hot Chip doing a Dj set, to Felix Da Housecat destroying the main room, to Yousef sending everyone wild on the Sunset Terrace.

If you go to We Love you will be entitled to leave the club and get a pass out as long as you leave before 9pm, however you still have to join the regular queue to get back in. If you get to the club in a taxi, then you will be able to get a refund on the fair if you are in a group of 4 or above and you will get a refund of 50% if the taxi has 3 people in it.

Café Olé @ Space 2011

Posted by Gary on Thursday 3 February 2011

Café Olé is slowly becoming one of those constants in Ibiza that operates in the background and always delivered. Its not a night i have been to myself, however i would like to pay a visit. If your trying to make your mind up for nights to go to in 2011 then take a look at this video and check it out for yourself.

Carl Cox @ Space 2011 – 10 Years Of Revolution

Posted by Gary on Thursday 27 January 2011

In 2011, Carl Cox will celebrate 10 consecutive seasons in Space. Not many club nights manage this feat, but if anyone can do it solo, its Carl Cox.

All Carl Cox needs to do is turn up and its going to be a success, but that’s because of the 10 years work he has already put into his event at Space. Carl Cox has been quoted as saying, he can’t believe its been 10 years, and neither can i! 2001 doesn’t seem that long ago to me, however in the clubland of Ibiza it’s a lifetime!

You are always guaranteed a great night when you go to see Carl Cox but this year the line-ups and the parties are going to be the best yet, In carls own words ‘this year is going to top them all’

There are no full line-ups announced yet however the opening party and closing party date has been announced, you can guarantee Carl will be playing every week and this year the revolution will be starting on the 5th June and running through to the 20th September. More …
