After the events that took place in Germany over the weekend, Privilege have decided to cancel their love parade party which was scheduled for 14th August.

At the weekend, 19 people died in Germany after a crush took place, out of respect for the victims and their families the party in Ibiza has been cancelled.

I personally don’t think they could have done anything but cancel it, letting the night go ahead would have been in very poor taste and i would have been surprised if many people had gone anyway.

Good call by Privilege, im sure they will replace it with another quality night, after all, surly the Dj’s that were originally booked are available!!

On the 4th September 2010 Faithless will perform live in Privilege! If you travel back in time (search Youtube – ku Ibiza 1987) you will be able to see Freddie Mercury performing Barcelona in the open air of Ku. Now don’t get me wrong, im not comparing Faithless with Freddie Mercury but that night Freddie Mercury performed in KU is still remembered to this day.

With the amount of festivals that Faithless have done over the last decade, it’s not unheard of for a lot of people to have heard faithless live already, but it is special if you see them in the right situation. I would be sceptical about going to a standard arena gig for faithless because they play in much better places,  and Privilege will be one of them. More …

The Guys from the Zoo Project are determined to take over the world and they are starting with Ibiza! As we know they have the Zoo project on a Saturday and channel Zoo on a Wednesday, there is an Ark thrown in for good measure along the way. Everything they have done has been positive and a great success.

They have decided after 6 years not to continue with Meganite not only in Privilege but in Ibiza. They will be trying out something new with their label Alchemy.

Mauro Picotto has always done well in Ibiza without always being the buzz night on the island. When he played at Godskitchen @ Amnesia it was guaranteed a packed house. He moved on from their to start Meganite in Privilege, a brave move with a venue so big but they made it work and over the coming years the area got bigger and bigger.

There may be no more Meganite but you can always count on Mauro to put on a party and im sure his new labels night will be a night you cant afford to miss.

Its seems Tiesto will be back every Monday in 2010 starting from June 7th.

9 years ago Tiesto was the warm up boy for Mauro Picotto who was the headliner at GodsKitchen in Amnesia, One of the best nights I’ve had in Ibiza.

Fast forward a few years and Tiesto was part of the strongest trance lineup on the island, Tiesto and PVD made Cream a very special night to go to. To have the opportunity to see these two guys in the same night behind the same Dj booth came very few and far between.

We all know Privilege as the worlds Biggest nightclub and the Ex home of Manumission but there is a lot more going on In the worlds biggest club than big nights from the past. On the 30th of May this year Privilege will be throwing open its doors for another packed season in Ibiza. This year we have the return of some of Ibiza most popular nights that attract a more international crowd in Monza and Supermartxe, Mauro picotto will be filling his boots and Robbie Rivera will be hosting his own night. Mauro Picotto has in the past been the Dj i worship, For the last 4 years he has been taking over Privilege on wednesday with Meganite. If you like your music a little harder with a Techno edge then you will love Meganite, If you dont fancy the club then check out his Pre Party, they are usually energy packed and Picotto is a really nice guy, if you see him wandering around he is always happy to say hi! He has been releasing Meganite CD’s and his night in Privilege has been getting bigger and bigger every year. If you do like your music a little harder then this is one of the only nights you mifgt get your fix and its deffinately a night i like to visit.

The privileg has the next party as the 24th June 2009 and Mistress Barbara has been confirmed for the 1st July. this makes Meganites a wednesday in Ibiza which is the night it has always had. Pre parties could be in Kanya and Iticia in San Antonio with the Kanya party more likely to be starting in the afternoons.

Its seems that Tiesto will be gracing Privilege again in 2009 starting in June and running through till September. Last year Tiesto rolled into town with his ‘In Concert’ production and destroyed the place by all accounts. This year it seems he has seen how many people he can pack in so he is pack for more and this time it seems that it is for the whole season!

I have read this news over at Ibiza Spotlight and they have reported that the closing party will be on September 21st. The opening party does not yet have a concrete opening date. I have been over and checked out the Privilege website and they have their next event on a Monday down as 08-06-2009 but the article under the headline talks about Tiesto in 2008 so im not to sure when it will be opening.
