If you mention clubbing to people that have never been to Ibiza, they will probably come back and say Pacha. Its the club that really made its name in Ibiza and Ibiza is has probably had a lot of business from people wanting to go to Pacha.

This year, you can celebrate Pacha with a new classics CD that celebrates the last 20 years of clubbing in what is probably one of the best known clubs in the world.

Ministry Of Sound is probably the earliest night i remember being inPacha and since then it has played host to some of the most sought after Dj’s in the world, Subliminal V’s Defected, Paul Oakenfolds Perfecto, Pure Pacha. This year it has some exciting nights like the Swedish House Mafia and Cadenza with Luchiano.

The new CD is 3 CD’s that celebrate everything that makes Pacha what it is today. (im pleased to say P.Diddy, Puff Daddy what ever he is called today isnt part of it!!)

Subliminal Sessions – Voodoo Nights @ Pacha 2010

It seems to be the lates craze to have a full season theme night for a club and personally i think it works really well. Last year ‘The Dark Forest’ went down a storm, this year, Subliminal are in on the full on theme, Voodoo Nights will be decending on Pacha on wednesdays with Eric Morillo and his Medicine Men.

I have already missed the opportunity to blog about the opening party as this was on the 2nd June with Steve Angelo. All reports conclude that its going to be a really good night this year.

Defected returns to Pacha this year for another 17 week sting in one of the most glamorous clubs on the island.

If you like your house to be Defected then this is the place for you this summer. The lineup is always kept fresh every year and although its not a night ive been to myself it is always a possibility and definitely a night i would visit.

Defected@Pacha 2010

Pure Pacha 2009

Pure Pacha as you might be able to tell is in Pacha in Ibiza town! Friday nights have always been a big night for Pacha, Fridays used to belong to Ministry Of Sound before it turned into a clubland cheese-fest. When i started going to Ibiza i remember Ministry being a massive night that everyone wanted to go to. Ministry left Pacha quite a few years ago now and into the big gap it left stepped up Pure Pacha. Ove the last few years it has grown from strength to strength Pete tong has been at the helm until last year when he moved his night to Eden. I dont think this has knocked Pure Pacha to much though, last year had nothing but positive comments and reviews and if anything Pete Tong leaving meant they booked better lineups to fill the void.

This year is no different, there will be stiff competition from Wonderland but Pure Pacha will still pull in the crowds this year.

Pure Pacha 2009

Pacha have confirmed who will be hosting parties this year in one of the most popular and famous clubs in Ibiza. Many of you may already know that Pacha does not close for the winter but they do start their ‘seasonal’ parties at the same time as most clubs have their opening parties.

In the past Pacha has hosted nights such as Ministry Of Sound which was the hottest ticket on the island as well as a less Successful Perfecto night with paul Oakenfold. Pete Tong left Pacha last year to set up his own night that would rival Pure Pacha on Friday nights and this year Roger Sanchez has moved over to the Terrace at Amnesia. Is this a sign that Pacha is loosing its edge? is becomeing less attractive to the main players? NO CHANCE!!!

Pace in 2009 will host what i think will be the best night on the island with The Swedish House Mafia. Erick Morillo continues with his subliminal ni9ghts as do Defected with theirs and F*** Me Im famous, Retro is in one of the rooms and Pacha Classics continues with Paul Taylor at the helm. If anything 2009 could be an amazing year for Pacha and if you love House music then im sure you will be paying Pacha a visit.

Defected this year a partying hard on Saturdays in Pacha between the 30th May (the day before the space opening) and September 26th 2009. Defected are becoming part of the old firm in Ibiza, consistently throwing parties people want to go to. 2009 will see six residents playing over the summer including Junior Jack and Kid Crème, The Shapeshifters, ATFC, Copyright, David Penn and Simon Dunmore.

I don’t often talk about CD’s on here because there are always loads of CD’s out, However i do have a soft spot for Paul Taylor who runs the Retro night, Last year he was also the Dj at Pacha Classics if i remember rightly on a Sunday, Well i new about this a while ago but Pacha have released a new CD Pacha classics. You could look at it as your average ‘classics’ CD but its not full of ‘Trance Classics’ which 99% of classic CD’s are. Ive not got a copy…. Yet! but i will be purchasing a copy and i think it could be worth a listen to anyone who wants to hear a few Ibiza classics without the trance element

Retro @ Pacha 2009

Retro will be back in Ibiza for 2009 on Tuesdays @ Pacha. Retro is one of those nights that not many people actually talk about. It started off in Ibiza a long time ago and was very popular with the workers on the island. Since then it has moved away from San Antonio and now resides in Pacha.

If you are not to sure about Retro or don’t want to choose it as one of your nights out then i would highly recommend going to the Retro pre party, Paul Taylor is the Dj behind Retro and every time i have been; his pre parties have been amazing, He has a real enthusiasm for the music he is playing and it shows by his energy.

No lineups have been announced and neither have the opening and closing parties. With regards to the Lineup Paul Taylor will be there ever week, You can probably expect to have guests performing live as they do in the UK.

Swedish House Mafia @ Pacha

Great news here and that is that the Swedish House Mafia have a night in 2009 at Pacha. The first date on their myspace page is for the 22nd of June. This date doesnt mention an opening party and they have got other dates listed after this which dont include Pacha, however i would like to presume this is an opening party for a party which will be running the whole season as i think it would be a massive success.
