Ibiza Global Radio is currently broadcasting Live from We Love at space. If i can find out in advance when they are broadcasting i will let you guys know.
This saga has been rumbling on for a long time now and as with anything there has been that much said about it it has not been clear as to what exactly is happening, Yesterday the council of San Jose Ibiza made the decision on when the clubs will open. The council of San Jose covers Space and DC10 but it is expected that all the other councils in Ibiza will follow suit to make the opening times the same all over the island.
This means that the clubs in Ibiza are now restricted to opening times between 4.30pm and 6am
These details have been on the internet for a while on another website but i will post them here as well. Today i have received an email from Eden with information regarding there opening and closing dates:
We open our new refurbished Funky Room every weekend in May with a host of Edens summer residents from all our main nights so keep an eye out for line-ups.

One thing that many people ask through out message boards about Ibiza is weather you should buy your club tickets before you go to Ibiza or wait untill you get there. There is no right or wrong answer to a question like this really, there are pro’s and con’s on both sides. People who sell tickets online will obviously tell you to buy them online (i would if i sold them!!). But waiting till you get there can have its benefits.
Ibiza spotlight today posted some nice news about Privilege, they haven’t revealed a source of this information but thats not a problem as they are rarely wrong with stuff like this, Once there is more info then i will create individual posts to this news.

This is one of those stories that will drag on and on and on but the latest news in the after hours saga is that the clubs will open at 6pm evey day. The council have alowed the clubs to apply for an extention on the opening and closing parties so the clubs can open at 12 noon. The Ibiza Consell want to push for the clubs to stay closed till 4.30pm though the law recently passed says they can open at 12 noon.
One of the space residants speaking on the radio has said he thinks the club will open at 6pm daily.
I personally think this is a good move as if the clubs opened any earlier i then i could see the clubs being very quiet till later on anyway, if the club was open on certain days that early maybee it would work but the club beiong open every day at that time may not attract the people it needs to.

A new night to the island for 2008 is Tranz Ibiza, There summer residents are Dave Pearce who last year played for Gatecrasher, the Tidy Boys, Ann Savage and Rob Tissera . As i reported in my post Polysexual @ Eden 2008 polysexual will be in eden this year as they take over the funky room of eden for this night on a rotation with Frantic and slinky, however i wouldnt expect anything funky coming from that direction!

Since i first reported on this night it has now changed. Dave Pearce is still at the helm but the night its now called Advanced V Tidy, for those of you who was checking back for polysexual dont worry they are still doing the back room on rotation! Full line-up as follows

The latest gossip for today is that Armada will not carry on with their night in Amnesia but Armin will play for cream. Im a bit gutted about this because I thought Armada was a really good night. The music was always really good the tickets prices didn’t sting too much and it was never as packed as cream.
The second rumour is about Tiesto, Word has it that Tiesto will take up a residency at Privilege this summer, His couple of nights he did last year were a great success and it sounds like he is responding to that.

You have all heard the saying ‘There is an exception to every rule’? Well it seems that it may be true and there may be an exception to the rule about my post No More After Hours In Ibiza. Well as a bit of an update to that it seems that it has been announced there may be a minor adjustment to the recently passed law and there may be ‘an exception’ to the law. Obviously this means they are going to allow one of the clubs to open early door’s. With the council in Ibiza trying lock up the owner of DC10 then i recon you can count them out. The only serious contender is Space. Looking back over the last few years of trouble between clubs and the council how many times has space been mentioned or closed? Nearly Never! Space seem to be in the blind spot for the council as nothing is ever brought up about them for whatever reason.
This is great news for clubbers if it happens and great news for space. Maybe the council have heard some of the moans from people saying closing all morning parties will drive clubbers to the hills, which will be harder to police, Who knows. This could also be a reason why Space have not yet released any opening dates, as i reported they are waiting to find out what ours they can open before finalising with any promoters.

Now that we have entered 2008 a few of the clubs and club nights have started to release information such as the opening dates and some clubs are confirming that they will be in Ibiza or that they have moved. This is all great news but what you want to know and what i want to tell you are lineups and good info you can get excited about!!
Well unfortunately this info just isn’t around at the moment, the fact is the season doesn’t start for a while yet and we get hungry for information earlier and earlier every year!! In the mean time we just need to sit back take in what we can and save our money like mad because no matter what the lineups are this year, whats clubs are open, closed, shut down or moved to the top of a mountain; Ibiza 2008 will still be another fantastic year !
