Twice As Nice @ Eden 2010

Ibiza can be unforgiving, if you have a night people don’t want, then people wont go to it! Its not often a night can stick around if its not a night lots of people go to. Twice as Nice has been present in Ibiza for long enough to expect it to be there every year, They have floated round a couple of clubs but ultimately, its a night people are going to. I put it like this because traditionally, Twice as Nice don’t represent the stereotype that is the Ibiza music scene.

This year Twice as Nice will take Thursdays at Eden and they also have a bar in the West End called 2Nice that will be open 7 day’s a week. I cant really comment on the line-up because i don’t have a clue who any of them are! If R&B is what your into, why not give me your opinion on this years line-up.

The Eden website has shown the full weeks lineup for 2010. The last time i felt scared was when Ibiza Rocks appeared in an 18-30 type brochure. That turned out ok. A few years on and i find myself a little bit scared again! Mondays at Eden are down as Nuts. Thats Nuts the Uk lads magazine. I have nothing against them, but i cant see what they are going to do in Eden. I’m just praying it’s not going to be nights with the likes of the people from Jackass. If your from Nuts, why not drop me a line and enlighten us

The rest of the week feels like an old friend! Reclaim the dance floor is on Wednesdays with Wonderland returning for its 3rd season after moving from Pacha. Twice as Nice is providing a night a little different from your average music policy for Ibiza and i don’t even need to mention Sundays.

Judgement Sundays has been spoken about a lot on here, i have spoken about them recently in the Judgement Sunday Promotional Video Thread. They have now released the Lineup for this summer and this year sees a bit of change. The main room line-up is same old same old, its a winning formula for the night so i can see why there not changing it.

The bigger changes come in the fact that there are now 3 rooms on the lineup and the Dj’s playing in these rooms are what make the change, The Funky room is not what it used to be. These rooms will be frequented by the likes of LMP Dj’s and Micky Slim. I have noticed Slipmatt in the lineup which is something i wouldn’t expect!

Judgement Sundays has been the main night in San Antonio for a long time now! With Judge Jules at the helm it is a very popular night with the British tourists on the island. The list of Dj’s that have played there is endless, the likes of Deadmau5, Eddie Halliwell, Ferry Corsten to name only a few.

I have no doubt that 2010 will be another packed year in Eden and im sure Judge Jules will make use of the new layout of Eden. You can expect a night of trance and harder edged music in the main room, you can usually find Jules doing a funky set in the back room and if you don’t fancy the night then check out the pre parties that will be dotted around the island.

Radio 1 weekend 2009 LINEUP

Everything was set, Eden had attracted another big name from the other side of the island and it was all looking rosy, Now it seems that Hed Kandi have made a last minute switch back to the other side of the island and they will not have their 2009 season in Space.

In a news letter i have read on the Ibiza Spotlight forums it says that Had Kandi needed more space, the addition of a Nu Disco room just meant that the back room at Eden didn’t provide what they wanted to achieve this summer.

The decision to move has been amicable and on good terms. Either way it is still a bit of a blow for Eden however i do think Had Kandi will do really well over at space, The music policy they have attracts a lot of people and to have that gathering in the surroundings of space means that this season will probably be one of the best seasons for Hed Kandi.

I have mentioned a couple of times on here now about Hed Kandi and their move to Eden. It should be a busy year this year for Hed Kandi and a very different year in terms of location and what crowd this will attract. Eden has always been more UK orientated with the Ibiza Snob brigade always looking down upon it for not being good enough for them! Pete Tong started the change last year by moving from his very attractive night at Pacha to set up his own night in Eden, Hed Kandi have now followed suit and upped sticks from their harbour side location that is El Divino and now they too are hoping to change the minds of many by holding their night in Eden.

Ive never been to Hed Kandi and i don’t plan to so for me i don’t really care were it is or who is going, im sure lots of people do and I’m sure lots of people will be turning up at Eden every week.

Reclaim The Dancefloor @ Eden 2009

Reclaim the dancefloor is the official after party for Ibiza Rocks! When Ibiza Rocks started it was simply peoples favourite bands playing in Bar M, Admitently Bar M was a little tight for space but at the time i don’t think anyone would have believed it would grow into something so big. The laws started clamping down a few years ago which meant it forced Ibiza Rocks into secret venues for their parties and they traveled round different locations in Ibiza and Busing people to the venue, Ibiza Rocks was evolving into something bigger! Last year saw the Ibiza Rocks hotel open in San Antonio, it provided a place to party around the Ibiza Rocks weekly events and it was also home to the Ibiza Rocks after parties. This year it seems that all the Ibiza Rocks gigs will take place in the Ibiza Rocks Hotel.

2009 sees the next step in the Ibiza Rocks story! Their after parties are nothing new but the move to Eden for its own night is. June 16th sees the opening night for Ibiza Rocks and so with that comes the opening night of Reclaim The Dancefloor. Reclaim the Dancefloor is a mix of bands and Dj’s that will all fit into the sound and vibe that Ibiza Rocks is trying to make. 2 many Dj’s will be there for the summer as well as people like Chase and Status and Kissy Sell Out.

If you buy a ticket to Ibiza Rocks then this gets you free entry the Eden that bight before 1.30am. Tickets are are priced at £31 and £42 for VIP, i personally dont think this is a bad price for the gig and the after party. Tickets can be purchased from the Ibiza Rocks website.

Judgement Sundays this year will be celbrating its 10 year anniversary in Ibiza, Ove this time Dj’s such as Tiesto, AVB, Ferry Corstan and Eddie Halliewll all played their first sets in Ibiza at Judgement Sundays. Judgement Sundays have now revealed their full lineups for Ibiza 2009. Its opening on June 7th 2009 and its good to see Yoji on the lineup for the 16th August purley because its one i predicted in an earlier post! (not that it was rocket science or anything!)

The lineup for Judgement Sundays 2009 surly has a night that would suit most people, as well as a host of ‘An Evening With’ events which will take place in the back room with two of Judgement Sundays favourite Dj’s Micky Slim and Krafty Kuts. Its good to see Utah Saints on the lineup as well as Roger Shah and LMP Dj’s who i managed to catch on the BBC introducing bus at Creamfields last year and they rocked the place!

The noticeable date is obviously 2nd of August fo the Radio 1 10 year anniversary party which is a white party along with the closing party on 20th September

Judgement Sundays 2009 – Lineup

Confirmed Eden Lineup 2009

Eden have confirmed which nights will be held in Eden in 2009 and it looks like one of the strongest weekly lineups they have had for a long time. The main notable addition is Hed Kandi which has moved across the island and now resides on Saturdays in Eden. Pete Tong is still there on Fridays after a very successful 2008 season. Mondays has a new night not many people have mentioned with Inside Out.

Im sure Judgement Sundays will be rammed every Sunday this year with what looks like a good lineup of resident D’js. Tuesdays will be held by Ibiza Rocks and their after party ‘Reclaim The Dancefloor’, the lineup has apparently been released for this however i am holding on until i can confirm the information before i post it on here, this is meant to have 2 many Dj’s as resident though so this again could be a big crowd puller.

Overall i think this could be Edens best year yet, i think Hed Kandi have followed Pete Tong to Eden because it will make them a lot more money; Big names in the UK will always attract a lot of the English in Ibiza, I don’t want this to take away from how good the nights will be though, The only night i wouldn’t go to in this lineup would be Twice as Nice but that is purely personal preference. Come the end of the year and Eden could be one of the most spoken about clubs through the summer.

I am told the Dj Lineup for the summer will be released as soon as it is ready so i will be able to ;et you know that once i know it.

Lineup.

Mondays – Inside Out.
Tuesdays – Ibiza Rocks and Reclaim the Dancefloor.
Wednesdays – Garlands
Thursdays – Twice as Nice
Fridays – Wonderland
Saturdays – Hed Kandi
Sundays – Judgement Sundays
