The Miami winter music convention is now over for another year and the music direction of 2011 has been set! As part of the conference they have a hell of a lot of parties, they have talks, speeches and they also have time to fit in an awards ceremony.

I’ve had a look through the results and although i don’t agree with all them, there is one i do agree with

Amnesia has won the best global club for 2011! There were 4 clubs from Ibiza in the list but Amnesia has come out on top.

The results were as follows:

Les Schmitz is warming up well for the Ibiza 2011 season with a La Troya world Tour, it’s a night i have been to in the past though if im being honest that night is all a little hazy!!

Not long ago, i blogged about Cream @ Amnesia in 2011. There are still no line-ups to announce yet, however tickets have gone on sale for all the cream nights this summer.

Standard entry tickets are priced at £34 (£38 inc booking fee) for the start and end of the season and they rise to £38 (£42 in booking fee) in the higher season which seems to be from 7th July to 25th August.

VIP tickets are available for £50 (£55) and £55 (£60).

How much the tickets will be on the island is anybody’s guess at the moment, If i remember rightly, cream used to offer a discount for tickets bought in the UK, however at these prices i don’t believe this is still the case. I would presume the tickets will be €40 on the island which means with today’s exchange rate it would be cheaper. Don’t hold me to this though as its only my view, i didn’t visit cream last year so i don’t know what the ticket prices were.

Cream have just released some news about the 2011 parties in Amnesia,

As i was hoping, the cream opening party will be held on Thursday the 16th June, It will run every Thursday through to the 22nd September.

Cream has been a constant figure in Ibiza for many many years, It’s an extremely popular night and not without reason, many people may not like Cream because it’s an english club and it attracts a large English crowd, However if you’re not sure what to do on a Thursday in Ibiza then its worth a trip.

In 2010 Cream started to use the Terrace as the main room on some events. The opening and closing parties saw PVD play the terrace which i would predict they will do again this year, Deadmau5 also did a few mau5trap parties which there have been a lot of videos about.

If you have read my blog for long enough you will know how much i love old footage / imagery of Ibiza, It doesn’t matter who you are, the more time goes on the more you think the past is better, it’s an unfortunate fact of life!! ‘The End Of Ibiza’ has been predicted almost every year over the last 12 years ive been going. The restrictions on clubs shutting at 6am many years ago signalled the end, then the change of council toughening up on licences, that was going to finish off Ibiza, then DC10 got shut and daytime parties were stopped, that was another round of people predicting the end of Ibiza, surly there is nothing left to go for eh?

Every year DJ Mag conduct a survey to establish the top 100 clubs in the world. Much like the top 100 DJ’s. Many people criticise these polls as nothing more than a popularity contest and not a list of the technically best clubs  and dj’s. However its good to see the results and even though you may not agree it does give a guide to the top clubs you can go to.

Last year, Sankeys in Manchester won the number 1 spot, which is a club im lucky enough to frequent, however is this the best club ive ever been to? No!

Last year, the highest ranking club from Ibiza was Amnesia in position 3, Pacha was number 5 and Space was in 7th.

For me personally, Amnesia is the best club on the island though i think all the clubs in Ibiza should do better this year!!

Amnesia has been running a vote on its facebook page for the best parties of 2010 and the results have been announced.

Amnesia is always a dead cert for a good night out when your in Ibiza, and the results below have been noted as the top 10 parties last year.

Amnesia has always been my favourite club on the island and the parties listed below are a sneaky peak at what you can expect! I have also posted a video of each party that i have found on Youtube.
