After its launch in 2007 Pacha classics will be back again in 2008  with residents Paul Taylor, Sebastian Gamboa and Angel Linde hosting the event every other Sunday in the main room. Ive not really got much more to say about this night at present or what else will be on. With Sundays at space being only down the road then it has stiff competition but it will be well worth a look.

The institution that is Retro will be partying hard in the Global room of Pacha this summer, Paul Taylor really knows how to throw a party and he is a sound guy as well. Retro in Ibiza first came to attention on a larger scale when it became a firm favourite of the Ibiza workers. If you dont think Retro is your thing then just do one thing, You have to go to a retro pre Party, they are the Happiest, Smiliest pre party’s on the island and if you still dont think its for you then fair enough!!

Opening party: Monday 9th June
Closing party: Monday 22nd September

Roger Sanchez will be in control of Mondays at Pacha in 2008, No doubt his pre party will be at Mambo’s with his name going up in flames as it usually does. Along side Roger on Mondays in the global room will be Paul Taylor with Retro.

Ive heard this from the Retro website and retro have their opening dates as

Closing party: Monday 22nd September 2008

Amnesia has been voted the Best Global club at the Annual International Dance Music Awards at the Miami winter music convention. I think its well deserved as well, the club has everything you want from a nightclub, the lasers are out of this world, the ice cannon is a ledgend in its own rights and the sound system is second to non! People will argue all day long about which is the best club in Ibiza though and everybody is right, allot of it is down to personal preference but the standards of the clubs in Ibiza are that good anyway everybody’s opinion will be different!

News is a bit raw at the moment but Privilege has confirmed to Ibiza Spotlight that Tiesto will hold a summer residency in 2008 on mondays, there is no name for the night yet but its guaranteed to be a sure fire hit.

Last year Tiesto sold out Privilege on a few consecutive nights with his In Concert style tour. This year he is here for the summer. A lot of people have a lot of opinions about Tiesto but for me he should be a part of the whole season so im glad he is back.

bit of detective work by a member of the Spotlight forums has brought up the possible dates Tiesto could be playing in Ibiza, These dates are July 7 until September 22. BEcause of Tiesto’s tour of the US it is thought he will not start his dates untill he has finished and we know he is doing 12 nights.

It has been announced on the pacha website  that Faithless will be playing 4 exclusive dates for Pure Pacha  in Ibiza this summer.  Along side Faithless for these events will be Basement Jaxx who are also doing the Eden opening.

This just adds to what is already an  impressive summer line up for Pure Pacha who parted company with Pete Tong this year.If you go down to Pure Pacha this year you will be able to see  Swedish House Mafia (Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso & Axwell) plus Sander Kleinenberg, Fedde Le Grande & Trentemoller.

Dates for Faithless & Basement Jaxx are unconfirmed so at the minute but there are rumours that the first night will be on Friday 30th May.

Monza will be at privilege every Thursday this year. I dont really know anything about this night to be honest so im not going to pretend i do! What i do know is that DJ Melon will the the resident this year.
